The small tree President Obama planted at the memorial site for Mohandas Gandhi during his recent trip to India has shriveled up and is almost dead, according to Indian media reports.
The baby sapling, which sits next to a similar tree planted in 2000 by former President Bill Clinton has withered and lost nearly all of its leaves after less than a month, India Today reported Wednesday.
