DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Gilma was located near latitude 14.7 North, longitude 129.9 West. The depression is moving toward the west near 17 mph (28 km/h). A slower west to west-northwest motion is expected during the next few days. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Gradual weakening is forecast, and Gilma is expected to become a remnant low in a couple of days. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches).
