DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 300 AM MDT (0900 UTC), the center of newly formed Tropical Depression One-E was located near latitude 13.8 North, longitude 107.7 West. The depression is moving toward the northwest near 5 mph (7 km/h) and this general motion is expected to continue through Monday. The cyclone is forecast to turn westward on Tuesday, and move west-southwestward on Wednesday. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Some slight strengthening is forecast during the next day or so, and the system could become a tropical storm later today. Gradual weakening is expected to begin on Monday, with the system becoming a remnant on Tuesday. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).
