DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression One-E was located near latitude 15.7 North, longitude 118.8 West. The depression is moving toward the northwest near 9 mph (15 km/h). A motion toward the west-northwest is expected today, followed by a turn toward the west later tonight. Maximum sustained winds remain near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and the depression is expected to degenerate into a remnant low this afternoon or tonight.
