DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1100 AM HST (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Three-E was located near latitude 10.6 North, longitude 133.8 West. The depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 9 mph (15 km/h). A turn toward the northwest is expected tonight and Thursday, with this motion continuing through Friday. Recently received satellite wind data indicate that the maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and the depression is forecast to become a tropical storm tonight or on Thursday. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- None.
