DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 500 PM HST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Three-E was located near latitude 10.6 North, longitude 134.7 West. The depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 9 mph (15 km/h). A west-northwest to northwest motion is expected during the next two to three days. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Some strengthening is forecast during the next day or so, and the depression is forecast to become a tropical storm tonight or on Thursday.
