DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 1100 PM AST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Bonnie was located near latitude 35.9 North, longitude 69.6 West. Bonnie is moving toward the east near 12 mph (19 km/h) and a generally eastward motion with a gradual increase in forward speed is expected over the next 48 hours. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Some weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Bonnie is forecast to degenerate to a remnant low by Saturday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 35 miles (55 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- None.
