DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1100 PM HST (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Cristina was located near latitude 19.8 North, longitude 115.5 West. Cristina is moving toward the west-northwest near 17 mph (28 km/h) and this motion is expected to continue through tonight. A turn toward the west is forecast to occur over the weekend. Maximum sustained winds are near 70 mph (110 km/h) with higher gusts. Cristina is expected to begin weakening tonight, and is forecast to become a remnant low in a few days. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 115 miles (185 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 993 mb (29.33 inches).
