DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1100 PM HST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Felicia was located near latitude 15.9 North, longitude 136.3 West. Felicia is moving toward the west near 15 mph (24 km/h). A westward to west-southwestward motion is expected during the next few days. Satellite-derived wind data indicate that maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts. Additional weakening is expected during the next couple of days. Felicia is forecast to become a tropical depression on Tuesday and degenerate into a remnant low by Wednesday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km), mainly to the north of the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
