DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 400 PM CDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Julio was located near latitude 16.1 North, longitude 102.7 West. Julio is moving toward the west-northwest near 18 mph (30 km/h). The tropical storm is forecast to move in this general direction at a slower forward speed for the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next day or two. Weakening should begin by early next week and Julio is forecast to dissipate within 72 hours. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 35 miles (55 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
