DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 200 AM PDT (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Kristy was located near latitude 14.2 North, longitude 128.5 West. Kristy is moving toward the west-northwest near 8 mph (13 km/h). A turn toward the northwest is forecast late today, followed by a turn to the north on Friday, with that motion continuing into Saturday. Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts. Some slow strengthening is forecast during the next few days. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1002 mb (29.59 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- None.
