DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1030 AM CDT (1530 UTC), the center of newly-formed Tropical Storm Sergio was located near latitude 12.4 North, longitude 102.1 West. Sergio is moving toward the west-northwest near 13 mph (20 km/h). A generally westward motion is expected during the next several days. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Strengthening is expected during the next several days, and Sergio could become a hurricane on Monday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 105 miles (165 km) mainly to the east of the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
