SUMMARY OF 300 PM GMT...1500 UTC...INFORMATION ---------------------------------------------- LOCATION...29.8N 33.3W ABOUT 670 MI...1080 KM SW OF THE AZORES MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...60 MPH...95 KM/H PRESENT MOVEMENT...ENE OR 65 DEGREES AT 10 MPH...17 KM/H MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE...993 MB...29.33 INCHES WATCHES AND WARNINGS -------------------- There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect. DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 300 PM GMT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Theta was located near latitude 29.8 North, longitude 33.3 West. Theta is moving toward the east-northeast near 10 mph (17 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue through the weekend. Maximum sustained winds are near 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher gusts. Slow weakening is forecast over the next few days. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 205 miles (335 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 993 mb (29.33 inches).
