Barely a week after conservative activists were counting on a massive protest by truck drivers to snarl the Beltway and bring President Barack Obama to heel, the head of the nation's largest trucking industry organization denounced the right-wing movement Monday as a "corrosive" force that threatens the business community's ties to the GOP.
