Bloomberg: Super Typhoon Haiyan, which left as many as 10,000 people dead in the Philippines after storm surges and gale-force winds knocked down buildings, flooded islands and destroyed an airport, has come ashore in Vietnam's Quang Ninh province.
The storm, with top winds of 120 kilometers (74 miles) per hour was located 156 kilometers east-southeast of Hanoi, according to the latest bulletin from the U.S. Navy Joint Typhoon Warning Center at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
