U.S. Apparel Imports: Latest and Long-Term Trends (Monthly Report)

US apparel imports have sharply dropped in March after surging in February, due to the change in holiday dates in Asia. Shipments have actually remained very stable over the first quarter. China has apparently regained ground, even compared with a slowing down Vietnam, and whatever the lower reduction of Chinese unit prices. Our monthly review covers US apparel import data, with historical trends being analyzed over the 2000-2018 period including cotton vs man-made fiber apparel, and China vs Rest of World (RoW) and vs Vietnam.
