US apparel imports from China have dropped dramatically in the first quarter, with other low-cost countries far from benefiting from a surge in sales, however. The US apparel sourcing has experienced a historic disruption with dramatic changes depending on origins and product categories. Our series of statistical tables offer a comprehensive comparison of volume, value, and unit value changes per origin and product category in first quarter 2020. The report also includes a detailed comparison of Chinese price trends vs. other origins, through a series of indexes.
