U.S. Apparel Imports in Jan-Sep 2018: China vs. Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Mexico and Honduras

US apparel imports have very differently moved in the first three quarters of the year, depending on origins and product categories. China remains by far the leading supplier of the US market whereas rival countries have not been able to radically reduce its share in 2018. A surge of tariffs as part of the US-China trade war would of course radically change the picture. Our series of statistical tables offer a comprehensive comparison of volume, value and unit value changes per origin and product category in Jan-Sep 2018. The report also includes a detailed comparison of Chinese price trends vs other origins, through a series of indexes. Unit value changes in percentage terms and market shares per category and per origin are also released. Our full table is available for download.
