According to AEM, U.S. construction machinery exports dropped 21% during first half of 2013, with $10.8 billion shipped to global markets compared to $13.7 billion at midyear 2012. Exports to Europe declined 20% for total of $1.4 billion, and dropped 15% to Canada for total of $3.7 billion. Exports to Asia decreased 24% to $1.2 billion. While exports to Central America gained 15% to $1.2 billion, exports to South America dropped 13% to $1.9 billion.
