U.S. Steel idling plant; PPG buys Flood assets; GNC finds new partners

U.S. Steel said it will idle a portion of its iron ore plant in Mount Iron, Minn., effective June 1, because of a downturn in the steel business. The Pittsburgh steelmaker blamed some of the problem on imports.
