U.S. Steel to invest $187M to expand Mon Valley Works

United States Steel Corp. will invest $187 million to expand its Mon Valley Works operations, Gov. Tom Corbett announced Friday at the U.S. Steel Research & Technology Center in Munhall. U.S. Steel will reline one of its Mon Valley Works blast furnaces at its Edgar Thompson Plant in Braddock, and make improvements and repairs to its railroad transportation infrastructure with the funds.
