US Apparel Imports in 1st Half 2017: Category Analysis (Statistical Report)

2017-10-11 09:00:00| EmergingTextiles.com

US buyers have continued shifting orders from cotton to man-made fiber categories in the first half, therefore favoring countries able to provide these products like Vietnam, to the detriment of origins focused on 100% cotton apparel, like Bangladesh. The structural move has also boosted imports from Central American countries in specific product categories. This is clearly reflected by our series of tables offering a detailed view of US imports per origin in the first half this year, for major cotton and man-made fiber categories. Full data are extracted from our database covering a 5-year period, and available to premium subscribers.
