US Q2 in brief - Burlington Stores, Dollar General, Dollar Tree, Abercrombie & Fitch

In the latest second-quarter filings from US apparel and footwear brands and retailers, Burlington Stores reported a 19% jump in earnings, while Abercrombie & Fitch widened its net losses. Tilly's delivered better than expected net sales, Chico's CEO Bonnie Brooks said the retailer is seeing evidence of progress within the business, while footwear retailer Caleres has reported record second-quarter sales.
