Second-quarter earnings for the retail sector as a whole are forecast to be lower than the prior month, despite easy year-on-year comparisons. G-III Apparel Group raised its full-year earnings outlook after more than doubling its earnings and Shoe Carnival booked an 84.6% jump in profit.
