In the latest second-quarter filings from US apparel and footwear brands and retailers, the impact of the global coronavirus pandemic and widespread store closures can be clearly seen. Both Nordstrom and The Children's�Place swung to a net loss,�while�Urban Outfitters has reported a 43% drop in net income.�Elsewhere,�Foot Locker saw earnings�tumble by a quarter on last year and�Kohl's saw sales decline by�22.9%.
