US Q4 in brief: Burlington Stores, Stage Stores, American Eagle Outfitters

In the most recent fourth-quarter filings from US apparel brands and retailers, L Brands, Skechers and Columbia Sportswear published record sales growth and higher earnings, while Stage Stores saw its profit more than halve. Kate Spade & Co posted a mixed performance, while Ross Stores posted better-than-expected results, and both Burlington Stores and American Eagle Outfitters saw their net income increase. Kohl's revealed it will close 18 stores after reporting a 20% decline in profit, and both Crocs and JC Penney saw their losses widen.
