US appoints its first Chief Information Security Officer

(Telecompaper) The White House has named Gregory Touhill the country's first Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), a position created under President Barack Obama's Cybersecurity National Action Plan (CNAP), launched in February. The new position is one of the plan's key features, with the aim of pushing cybersecurity policy, planning, and implementation across the federal government.
