BusinessGreen: The United States' first commercial-scale advanced biofuels plant opened yesterday and could soon be producing 76 million litres of fuel a year from corn waste.
Known as Project Liberty, the biorefinery in Emmetsburg, Iowa, is a joint venture between Poet and DSM and has been developed after the project received a $105m loan guarantee from the US Department of Energy (DoE) in 2011.
