The story of UTi Worldwide is much more about its turnaround than the recent rumors of a takeover by Danish trucking firm, DSV A/S . Over the past 12 months UTi had made - a timely recapitalization - seen significant organic growth in its contract logistics division - carried out $50 million of companywide cost cutting with another $45 million slotted by the end of the year - and implemented a state of art freight forwarding operating system.
