Uber Strikes Deal to Build New Headquarters in Large Expansion

Developer Alexandria Real Estate Equities said Thursday that it was partnering with Uber Technologies to develop a new 423,000 square foot headquarters in the Mission Bay neighborhood of San Francisco for the car-hailing app specialist. Uber will own 49% of the building and lease all of its space in one of the largest office deals in San Francisco signed in years.
