Union City: $61 million property sales top hot commercial real estate market

A commercial real estate company has spun two blue-collar complexes into gold, selling the industrial properties for a total of $61 million. San Diego-based Westcore Properties last month sold a 170,000-square-foot property for $23.8 million, then dealt a 300,000-square-foot complex -- once the home of a San Francisco Chronicle printing plant -- for $37.2 million.
