Unique rail ship arrives in Stockton

Making its maiden voyage, the ship is delivering the steel for a rail-welding facility still under construction on port property on the western end of Rough and Ready Island. Port Director Richard Aschieris said the ship's arrival marked the start of an new line of business for the inland port.
