United Internet buys 10.7% of Rocket Internet

(Telecompaper) United Internet is investing EUR 435 million in a 10.7 percent stake in Rocket Internet. It will pay EUR 333 million in cash, and EUR 102 million by investing in Global Founders Capital. Global Founders Capital is a portfolio of over 50 venture capital investments, owned by United Internet and by Global Founders Fund, the personal investment vehicle of Rocket co-founder and CEO Oliver Samwer and of his brothers.
