BusinessGreen: Farmers producing their own wind energy earned up to 50,000 last year, according to an industry-backed study.
Analysis from NatWest, RBS, and trade association RenewableUK shows the majority of wind farm installations saw up to 80kW of capacity installed, generating 50,000 payments for farmers from electricity generated and exported to the grid. Meanwhile, smaller installations of 20kW attracted payments of around 12,000 a year.
