Guardian: Motorway drivers are set to be limited to a speed of just 60mph for a 34-mile stretch of the M1 in a bid to meet European standards on air pollution. The Highways Agency is proposing introducing the new lower maximum as part of an upgrade to the UK's major north-south motorway in Yorkshire and the Midlands.
