Kimberlee Payton-Jones The University of South Carolina broke ground for its College of Mass Communications and Information Studies on Monday, February 3, 2014.  In the spirit of sustainability the school produced a video contrasting the current building with renderings of the new building. The 54,000-square foot facility is expected to be ready in time for 2015 fall classes. The renovation project will serve as the new home for the schools nearly 1,500 journalism students.
