Siemens recently announced that its Industry Sector has sold the Water Technologies business to AEA Investors LP, New York, USA [Press Release Siemens Industry]. The sale includes the capital and service business for water treatment in the municipal and general industry markets. Siemens will continue as before to operate the business focusing its water-related activities on automation and drive technologies that are used in applications for municipal and general industrial water, wastewater sewage treatment and seawater desalination plants, which is part of the Industrial Automation Systems Business Unit.
