Urban grocer expanding to Channel district

Duckweed, which opened in downtown Tampa in 2011, is negotiating a lease for 2,000 square feet of street-level retail space in The Place at Channelside, a residential building between Channelside Drive and Washington Street. If the deal comes to fruition, Duckweed would take the space that fronts Washington Street, owner Michelle Deatherage said.
