VMWare has announced to host its hybrid cloud service vCloud Air in Australia and its initial deployment will be hosted out of Telstra's data centre in Melbourne, which addresses data protection and local compliance concerns. In November 2014, VMWare had announced to make its services available in Australia in the first half of 2015 and this time frame has been comfortably achieved by the company.
