Interfacing PMC or XMC module to VPX system, VPX4820 and VPX4821 feature 2 PMC or XMC slots with support for front or real panel I/O and deliver 25 W to each site. These 6U cards allow connection to OpenVPX™ via Expansion plane (VPX4820) or data plane (VPX4821). Power and interface bus signals are routed to plug-in mezzanine module via VPX card slot connector. While XMC site uses 8-lane PCIe bus Gen 2 interface, PMC site uses 32/64-bit, 33/66/133MHz PLX technology with PCIe to PCI-X bridge. This story is related to the following:VPX carrier cards |
