(Telecompaper) Vodafone CEO Vittorio Colao has responded at the Mobile World Congress (MCW) in Barcelona to comments from Deutsche Telekom CEO Tim Hoettges that regulators should block Vodafone's bid to take over Liberty Global's German cable subsidiary Unitymedia, reported UK newspaper The Daily Telegraph. Hoettges said last week that Vodafone's plan to purchase Liberty Global's assets, which mostly do not overlap with Vodafone's existing cable network in Germany, was "totally unacceptable" and should be rebuffed by competition regulators.
