How about finding a parking space? And then having to squeeze into a spot without bumping another car or bumping into an unseen post?
Volvo Car Group is working with a partner, ParkMe, to find parking spaces in crowded locations and to allow the driver and passengers to exit the car while it safely parks itself.
Autonomous parking is a concept technology that relieves drivers of the time-consuming task of finding a vacant parking space, said Thomas Broberg, a senior safety advisor at Volvo Car Group. The driver just drops the vehicle off at the entrance to the car park and picks it up in the same place later.
