W.R. Grace predicts split costs to rise through the year

The Columbia-based chemicals and materials manufacturer will spend more on the split in the second quarter of this year and in subsequent quarters, CFO Hudson La Force said during an investors call after releasing earnings Thursday . Grace spent $6.9 million in its first quarter as it moved to break itself into separate entities focused on chemicals and construction products.
