Waco sees another increase in sales tax rebate

2015-09-11 05:22:38| Furniture - Topix.net

Sizable sales tax rebates continue to arrive at Waco City Hall, with the check this week from the Texas Comptroller's Office totaling $2.82 million, which is 8.7 percent larger than the one received in September last year. Officials say that continued improvement in the employment rate is giving people more disposable income, and they are finding new places to spend it with the arrival since Jan. 1 of new retailers at Central Texas Marketplace such as Five Below, Haverty's, World Market, a Cavender's Boot City superstore, Designer Shoe Warehouse, Charming Charlie and La-Z-Boy Home Furnishings and Decor.
