Washington County kicks off affordable-housing project

One of Washington County's biggest-ever affordable housing projects is just getting underway on a former driving range near Nike's campus in Beaverton . Yet even when Sunset View Apartments' 236 units open for occupancy next summer, they will barely put a dent into low-income housing needs made worse by soaring demand, rapidly rising land prices and lack of available financing tools.
