EPA released its annual list of the top 25 U.S. metropolitan areas with the most Energy Star certified buildings in 2014. This year, Washington, D.C., debuts in top spot with 480 buildings, followed by Los Angeles, Atlanta, and New York with 475, 328, and 299 buildings, respectively. EPA’s Energy Star Top Cities list shows how cities across America are embracing energy efficiency as an effective way to save money and reduce greenhouse gas emissions that fuel climate change.
