Watkins Glen Racing Ctr launches Jean S. Argetsinger Symposium

Named after one of its founders, Jean S. Argetsinger, the International Motor Racing Research Center in Watkins Glen , New York, launched its first Symposium on International Motor Racing History on Saturday, October 17. The symposium was held in conjunction with the International Motor Sports History Section of the Society of Automotive Historians and was sponsored by the Watkins Glen Area Chamber of Commerce. Introduced by Don Capps, chairman of the International Motor Sports History Section of SAH, the event involved a series of scholarly papers on racing history presented to an audience made up of the general public and racing enthusiasts.
