Julio, Romualdo and Demecio Romero were fired from their cleaning jobs of eight years after going on a day strike. On June 9, Alicia Yopihua, Julio Romero, Romualdo Romero and Demecio Romero joined dozens of janitorial workers across the Twin Cities in a day strike, picketing in front of the downtown Minneapolis Macy's for better wages and basic benefits like paid sick days.
