TORRINGTON - The Torrington Volunteer Fire Department (TVFD) responded to the Western Sugar Plant Thursday evening, Oct. 2, to assist Torrington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) with the extrication of a female employee who had fallen from the upper machinery level of the storage silos.
