As the New Year gets closer, feed prices stabilize lower and pork prices remain higher, increasing the prospects of solid profits for pork producers for the next 3-5 years, what are the top priorities for your hog operation? Focus on paying down debt and reorganizing operational finances. Take steps to expand the hog operation while times are good. Plan building repairs/renovation projects. Improve animal health and biosecurity to reduce cost of production.
